The Indian Ocean tsunami led to the development of a regional early warning system, which evolved into the Regional Integrated Multi-hazard Early Warning System (RIMES) - owned, managed, operated and sustained by over 29 Member States.  The presentation outlines concrete cases of benefits from RIMES as a collective early warning service.
