Third workshop on water and climate change adaptation in transboundary basins
The workshop offers a platform for exchanging experience on climate change adapatation strategies, best practices, success factors and lessons learned.
The workshop will focus on the following issues:
• Economic aspects of adaptation to climate change
• Selecting and implementing adaptation measures
• Integrating the different spatial and governance levels
• Vulnerability assessment in transboundary basins
• The ecosystem approach
• Integrating sectoral interests into adaptation strategy
The workshop will start at 10.00 a.m. on Wednesday, 25 April 2012 and end at 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, 26 April 2012. It will be organized back-to-back with the fifth meeting of the Task Force on Water and Climate which will be held on Friday 27 April 2012. Working languages will be in English, French and Russian.
