انطلقت صباح الاثنين 17 نوفمبر أعمال الورشة التدريبية الإيواء والتوطين في حالات الطوارئ التي ينظمها الهلال الأحمر القطري بالتعاون مع اللجنة الدائمة للطوارئ والاتحاد الدولي للجمعيات الوطنية، والتي وتستمر حتى 22 من الشهر ذاته.واستهلت الورشة أعمالها بمشاركة 18 مشاركاً من ممثلي الجمعيات الوطنية من دول مختلفة مثل قطر، بريطانيا، إيطاليا، كندا، أمريكا، الفلبين، باكستان، إسبانيا، فرنسا، سويسرا، نيجيريا، أستراليا وبمشاركة أربعة مدربين من الاتحاد الدولي. ولقد افتتح أعمال الورشة سعادة اللواء الركن سعد بن جاسم الخليفي، مدير عام الأمن العام، ورئيس اللجنة الدائمة للطوارئ رئيس لجنة الإيواء، وسعادة العميد حمد بن عثمان الدهيمي أمين سر اللجنة الدائمة، مدير إدارة العمليات بالإدارة العامة للدفاع المدنى، وبحضور سعادة السيد/ محمد جوهر آل محمد، عضو مجلس إدارة الهلال الأحمر القطري، والسيدة مارثا بينا مسؤولة الإيواء والتوطين في الاتحاد الدولي للصليب الأحمر والهلال الأحمر.
