Introduction

This collection comprises mid-term assessment reports of the achievements and progress made in disaster risk reduction (DRR) by countries for the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR) (1990-1999). The reports were prepared for the 1994 World Conference held in Yokohama, Japan.
