Guidebook on advocacy: integrating CBDRM into government policy and programming
This guidebook aims to develop and strengthen the skills and knowledge of stakeholders in designing and implementing advocacy strategies to integrate Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) into policy-making, planning and programming of local authorities in Southeast Asian countries. It draws heavily on the inputs and participation of CBDRM practitioners who attended the “Regional Workshop on Advocacy for Integrating CBDRM into Planning and Programming of Local Authorities” held in Bangkok, Thailand on 18-21 April 2006. The workshop was organized by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center / Partnerships for Disaster Reduction Southeast Asia (PDRSEA 3) in cooperation with UNESCAP and funded by DIPECHO.
