Vision 2025 - Managers of Risk

ASCE’s Vision 2025 calls for civil engineers to serve competently, collaboratively, and ethically as managers of risk and uncertainty. While it is not possible to eliminate risk, design professionals can certainly strive to reduce risk exposure. Learn how initiatives such as the National Incident Management System’s (NIMS) nationwide credentialing system and Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWDSC) Energy Management and Reliability Study aim to minimize risk. Walk away with a better understanding of risk assessment, asset management, and communication.
