About:

The 3rd seminar “Climate Change Initiative” will focus on initiatives required in Africa for adaptation to climate change and reduction of carbon emissions. At the United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP 21 in Paris, the World Bank Group launched the “Accelerating Climate-Resilient and Low-Carbon Development: The Africa Climate Business Plan.” The seminar will provide a brief overview of the Business Plan, including building resilience in people, land, water, and cities, ensuring broader use of renewable energy, and better early warning system, as well as initiatives by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to improve climate resilience in Africa.

The seminar will be in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation provided.
