AAPA Climate change workshop

A one-day workshop focusing on how port authorities can prepare to adapt to the effects of climate change. Speakers will address the federal, state and local perspective on adapting port facilities - including dredging projects and channel maintenance, as well as surface transportation projects - to changes such as sea-level rise and increased weather events. Other representatives will discuss some of the information available to port authorities, such as planning guides and data analysis, and the European perspective on climate change adaptation. This workshop follows on from the Climate Change Workshop AAPA hosted in November 2008.
