About
The ADB Build Back Better Sector Dialogues will share regional voices, stories, ideas and lessons learned on enhancing climate and disaster resilience through effective and well-designed emergency assistance. The series is centered on ADB’s new Build Back Better Sector Guides, and features perspectives from ADB staff, global thought leaders and local voices on resilient recovery.
The “Build Back Better” sector guides were launched in October 2024 as practical, solution-oriented resources to support its clients, partners and staff to enhance the climate and disaster resilience of communities, infrastructure and systems through building back better. The guides are based on principles, measures, and lessons learned from international literature, over 20 years of ADB disaster and emergency assistance, and wide-ranging consultations and expert inputs.
Join us on 10 February, Monday, 1:00pm to 2:00pm Manila time for the next session which will explore good practice solutions, considerations, and lessons learned for climate and disaster resilient recovery of agriculture systems. The event will feature a case study on how Viet Nam strengthened resilience of its irrigation systems and rural livelihoods following successive droughts.
Stay tuned for two more sessions on social infrastructure, and water, sanitation, and hygiene.
