About the event

Resilient and sustainable infrastructure is vital for economic growth, climate adaptation, and mitigation. Infrastructure accounts for 79% of greenhouse gas emissions and 88% of adaptation costs, influencing 92% of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As we approach 2030, global consensus on investments in disaster and climate-resilient infrastructure is crucial for achieving the Paris Agreement, Sendai Framework, and SDGs. Integrating disaster risk reduction and climate adaptation into infrastructure enhances community resilience, supports SDGs, and reduces costs. This DRI Dialogue aims to underscore the importance of disaster-resilient infrastructure (DRI) in intergovernmental processes, while exploring opportunities for collaborative action among key stakeholders.
