Bridging the Humanitarian-Development Divide through a New Way of Working in Preparedness
The session organized by the CADRI Partnership for the 2018 Humanitarian Networks and Partnerships Week (HNPW) aims to explore how joint planning, prioritization and implementation of emergency preparedness action can be a vehicle for operationalizing the principles underpinning the New Way of Working.
The objectives of the session can thus be summarised as follows:
- Highlight experiences regarding emergency preparedness planning processes undertaken by governments, along with humanitarian and development organizations;
- Raise awareness of the needs and requirements to operationalize the New Way of Working, including in emergency preparedness;
- Inform the CADRI Partnership offer and delivery of capacity development services for emergency preparedness as a promoter of the N New Way of Working;
- Provide a networking opportunity among government, UN, Civil Society representatives.
