The purpose of the conference is to strengthen climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction at the local and county level and to raise local interest and participation in the 'Making Cities Resilient: "My city is getting ready" world disaster reduction campaign'. The organizers are the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions and Sweden's National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
