As part of International Women’s Day, this event celebrates the resilience, leadership, and autonomy of women and girls in disaster risk reduction. On the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration, we will highlight how science, technology, and innovation have been crucial in closing gender gaps and promoting inclusive solutions in the region.

  • Presentation of the Compendium and key findings. 

  • Reflection on the impact of the Beijing Declaration on gender equality. 

  • Panels on innovation, women’s leadership, and resilience in DRR.
