This disaster risk reduction training programme for project managers and community leaders aims to provide field facilitators and other senior managers with skills, concepts and guidelines for disaster risk reduction and integration of DRR into program and institutional level that supplement the efforts of global community for disaster risk reduction.

Participants will be able to better understand:
- The Hyogo Framework for Action and global commitments to its implementation
- Disaster risk reduction terminology
- The National Disaster Management System in Pakistan
- Procedure, tools and methodologies for hazard, vulnerability, capacity and risk assessment
- The relationship between disaster and development
- The importance of multi-sectoral and multi-spectrum approaches

A key outcome of the training will be to have understood and developed SoPs for DRR integration into the development process.
