Science plays an essential role in preventing disasters and building resilient systems. However, it is essential that the transfer of scientific knowledge into practice works and that there is regular discussion with experts from authorities, emergency organizations and business.

Fachtagung Katastrophenforschung - the DCNA's Disaster Research Conference 2023 (FKF23) brings together science and practice in disaster management in order to be best prepared for the challenges of preparing for and dealing with disasters. At the symposium, research results and projects will be presented from the application side and possibilities for utilization will be pointed out.

The event is aimed at scientists from the disciplines of security and disaster research as well as representatives of authorities, emergency organizations and business.

The FKF23 will take place from September 11th to 12th, 2023 at the Montanuniversität Leoben. The conference will be held in German.
