The fifth international CIGIDEN seminar: The economic and political impact of socio-natural disasters
We are pleased to invite you to the Fifth International Seminar CIGIDEN 2018: The Economic and Political Impact of Socio-Natural Disasters. This event is an academic space to contribute to the debate in Chile on the short and medium-term effects of disasters, sharing international and national experiences.
Two international experts are invited. Ilan Noy, Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California and Chair in the Economics of Disasters & Professor of Economics from the Victoria University of Wellington and Scott Knowles, PhD in History from Johns Hopkins University and professor at the School of History at the Center of Science, Technology and Society, of the University of Drexel in the United States.
The presentations of international experts will be followed by a discussion panel with them and national representatives of Chile's economic, political, and academic fields. Thanks in advance for your attendance.
