Forum for Natural Disasters 2013 in Sweden

Collaboration between scientists, business and practitioners in all levels of society is a necessity for us to be able to meet the challenges of natural disasters in an effective manner. Forum for natural disasters (Forum för naturkatastrofer) is in itself an important collaborative activity within CNDS and in this years Forum "Collaboration - for better impact in society", also served as the overarching theme.

Forum 2013 took place the 16th October at the Swedish National Defence College in Stockholm and gathered around 80 participants from academia, governmental agencies and business. The participants attended lectures, networked with each other and took part in group discussions.

This years Forum was organized by CNDS in collaboration with the network Swedish National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, run by the National Agency for Civil Contingencies, MSB.
