Fourth regional training of trainers workshop, in preparation for launch of two new upcoming Academy modules on disaster risk reduction and climate change abatement

The workshop, sponsored by the Korean International Cooperation Agency, is to be held in Seongnam, Republic of Korea and will deliver training on two new, upcoming Academy modules: Module 9 – Information and communications technology (ICT) for disaster risk management; and Module 10 – ICT and climate change, green growth and sustainable development.

APCICT’s fourth Regional Training of Trainers (TOT) Workshop is designed to develop a cadre of regional resource persons who will be able to deliver training on how governments and development stakeholders can best use ICT to mitigate and manage disasters, and monitor and abate climate change. The workshop will also provide valuable participant-generated feedback on the content and design of modules 9 and 10 before they are officially launched later in the year.
