GEM Models and OpenQuake Engine Training
About
The GEM Models and OpenQuake Engine Training will take place this May as part of the Doctoral Programme in Earthquake Engineering at Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori, Pavia. This course offers a comprehensive overview of state-of-the-art methods for seismic hazard, exposure, vulnerability, and risk assessment. Participants will explore theoretical foundations and gain hands-on experience with the OpenQuake Engine, from basic scenario analysis to advanced probabilistic modelling.
Led by GEM experts, the training includes 7 lectures and 6 tutorials (30 hours), covering key components of seismic hazard and risk assessment, exposure modelling, vulnerability frameworks, and scenario-based risk analysis.
