Themes & Application Fields
GI_Forum solicits contributions on emerging topics and research outcomes related to GIScience and Technology. The following is by no means an exhaustive list of symposium topics for 2011:
- Advanced visualisation and cartography
- Geospatial data acquisition and GI techniques
- Advanced spatial analysis and knowledge extraction
- Distributed and mobile services
- Spatial Data Infrastructures (SDI)
- Dynamic modelling and simulation
- Digital terrain representation and analysis
- GIScience

GI_Forum 2011 especially wishes to attract submissions pertaining to the following themes:
- Global and Climate Change: Monitoring and Modelling
- Spatial Assessment and Analysis Vulnerability
- Learning with Geoinformation

Topics and application fields
Topics and research outcomes are related to Geoinformatics methodology such as geodata acquisition, spatial analysis, visualisation, distributed and mobile services, dynamic modelling and simulation.

Application fields comprise natural resources, health and environment, sustainable management of resources such as energy and water, transportation and infrastructure, participation and administration as well as security and emergency management.

Programme
Keynote sessions, paper and poster presentations, workshops, software demos, AGIT EXPO (product exhibition) and social events.
