Introduction
On August 23rd 2023, the Global Thematic Dialogue marked the initiation of a series of discussions which focused on young individuals within climate-resilient food systems. Following this, SLYCAN Trust Youth is hosting the second subsequent dialogue on the 16th of September, focusing on Climate risk management and addressing climate induced loss and damage. This upcoming discussion will delve into climate risk management, focusing on addressing the repercussions of climate-induced loss and damage and the urgent need to address climatic issues to build a climate resilient future for all.
Objectives
- Increase awareness among participants about the urgent need to address climate-induced loss and damage and the significance of effective climate risk management strategies.
- Engage young people in meaningful group discussions about climate resilience, loss, and damage, empowering them to actively contribute to climate action.
- Facilitate dialogue and collaboration among various stakeholders, from various regions which will foster coordinated approach towards addressing climate impacts.
