Scope
The HERL conference will focus on developing sustainable and resilient cities that prioritize the health of their inhabitants through a multidisciplinary approach to city planning and design. The conference will cover innovative methodologies for environmental analysis, sensing systems, and the integration of smart systems such as IoT and big data analytics as well as promoting green initiatives. Our aim is not only to develop sustainable and resilient infrastructure but also to encourage city life that promotes health, wellness, and livability for all residents. HERL 3rd Edition will explore contemporary advancements in urban design that prioritize walking, cycling, renewable energy use, and efficient transit systems within cities.
Statement of Purpose
The challenges of climate change continue to pose a threat to the health and well-being of people living in urban areas worldwide. The 3rd edition of the Health & Environmental Resilience and Livability in Cities (HERL) conference will take place to address these challenges. The conference brings together experts in urban planning, architecture, engineering, environmental science, and policy to exchange ideas and propose innovative solutions to environmental challenges in urban areas. The conference will explore modern advancements in urban design that promote the use of renewable energy, efficient transit systems, walking, and cycling within cities. HERL 3rd Edition will additionally consider smart city design approaches and innovations, incorporating technology and big data analytics to predict future changes and environmental stability.
