International Day for Disaster Reduction Celebration in Lao

As part of the various activities to highlight the importance of International Day for Disaster Reduction, Lao Red Cross together with International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent are planning to conduct two activities:

1. IDDR Day Television Talk Show program: by inviting key stakeholders in disaster risk reduction to disseminate their messages regarding their roles and works. The talk show will be broadcasted at 21:00 on Thursday 12th Oct and re-run again at 06:30 on Friday 13th October on the Lao National Television.

2. Radio Q&A programme: The radio Q&A programme aims to target the public to raise awareness on the IDDR day and the disasters and resilience issues. Approximately 2 questions will be asked daily through the national radio. The programme is on air from 25 September until 19 October at 15:00-15:30 hrs.
