International workshop: for a new governance of natural risks

The main aim of the workshop is to encourage public authorities and populations in areas at risk to reinforce their capacity to anticipate and respond to natural disasters. It will examine the problems of risk management and the now widely recognized role of local and regional authorities in this field. It will exchange best European practices on co-operation between the different authorities in such domains as public awareness, emergency planning, early warning procedures and emergency response.
