The Environmental Assessment Working Group of the REH (Réseau Environnement Humanitaire) is pleased to invite you to the launch of its MERA (Multi-sectoral Environmental Risk Analysis) Matrix on October 30th, 11AM-11:45AM CET.

The working group has developed the MERA matrix to help humanitarian and development project developers and technical advisers to become aware of the environmental risks that the projects they are developing may entail, and to rapidly formulate recommendations to mitigate these risks. 

The matrix provides a non-exhaustive database of mitigation measures for each environmental risk associated with activities in the Food Security & Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Shelter and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support sectors. It complements the existing assessment tools such as NEAT+. The matrix will be available on the REH Website from October 30th in English, French and Spanish. The Health sector will come later on.
