The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) New Tourism Frontiers Forum brings together top tourism professionals to discuss emerging issues related to adventure travel and responsible tourism.
The current theme on “Ecotourism – Transcending Climate Change” explores how alternative forms of tourism can help counter the negative impacts of tourism on climate change, especially in the context of emerging destinations.
Participants will gain new insights on the topics of eco-tourism and adventure travel, while learning first-hand how to market up-and-coming destinations through practical, on-ground activities.
One of the breakout sessions is dedicated to the top of crisis management and risk reduction for new destinations. International experts will speak on how to develop measures, plans, and manuals to prepare for when emergency strikes in your emerging destination, in the context of climate disasters such as earthquakes and floods.

It is ranked among the 1st Class Provinces in the country and among the fastest growing tourist destinations in 2013.
