The United Nation’s convention on Disaster Risk Reduction in 2005 urged the international community to change its focus from reactive to proactive disaster response. This niche course plays a key role in progressing this agenda by introducing reflection and associated reflective practices to reactive and proactive disaster response.

Practising Reflection: Reflective Practices in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) is a short course for continuing professional development (CPD). Practising Reflection will give you the knowledge and skills to introduce reflection and associated reflective practices into your organisation’s response to environmental and non-environmental disasters. The United Nation’s (UN’s) international convention on Disaster Risk Reduction in 2005 urged the international community to change its focus from reactive to proactive disaster response. This niche course plays a key role in progressing this agenda by introducing reflective response one that is based on critical reflective practices as a fulcrum of developing organisational resilience to disasters.
