The School of Public Policy and Management (SPPM) at Tsinghua University and the Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and are pleased to offer the Professional Course on Disaster Management in Asia and the Pacific in Beijing.

The programme will be led by leading Chinese and international experts, who will focus on innovative new technologies, big data and other cutting-edge developments related to natural disasters in Asia and the Pacific. The course will be conducted in English, and participants will receive a certificate of achievement upon completion of the course.

The programme will be led by leading Chinese and international experts, who will focus on innovative new technologies, big data and other cutting-edge developments related to natural disasters in Asia and the Pacific. They will draw upon practical case studies such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in 2013. Participants will receive a certificate of achievement upon completion of the course. The course will be conducted in English.
