Raising awareness on approaches on developing and working with volunteers

Background

Participants will discuss the role national disaster management authorities and volunteers can play in major national and international disasters. They will review how to improve cooperation, coordination and mutual influence among governmental and non-governmental actors. EU experts will support PPRD South Partner Countries experts in the identification of possible actions for increasing their volunteers development and coordination capacities.

Bringing together experiences and approaches from the different geographical and cultural contexts, the workshop aims to provide replies and solutions to some key questions related to the development or strengthening of national civil protection volunteer networks and their integration within the national civil protection system.
