The event aims to raise awareness among local governments and communities in the target river basin on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) as well as mobilize political support for the engagement of multi-stakeholders for local level disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.

The objective of the workshop is to reduce losses and casualties brought by any natural disaster.

Senator Loren Legarda will be discussing key challenges and issues related to disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation at the local level.
