Summary

This webinar will cover and identify some obstacles in the management of pollution caused by urban flooding. Floods disrupt urban metabolism and cause ever more damage. The concomitant risk of pollution induced by floods has also increased. To what extent is this pollution recognized as a problem by managers, the media and scientists? To answer this question, 63 semi-structured interviews were carried out and transcribed. A corpus of 1647 articles from the daily press was also generated. Quantitative (for example using textometry software) and qualitative methods were used to compare Quebec and French contexts.
