Second world biodiversity congress
The objective of the scheduled congress is to bring together global institutions involved in biodiversity conservation with expert groups familiar with the specific issues of the particular region.
The aim is to together share, network and develop future strategies and alliances for biodiversity conservation especially to meet the emerging challenges from climate change.
Specifically, the 2nd World Biodiversity Congress intends to:
* Review the social-economic, environmental and political impacts of biodiversity conservation.
* Identify best strategies for the effective biodiversity conservation and management for livelihood improvement.
* To address the causes and consequences of climate change on living resources on earth.
* Identify research gaps and conceptualize collaborative research undertakings on biodiversity and climate change.
* To evolve suitable strategies to combat Global warming and climate change.
* To bring the international scientific community together to initiate immediate net work action to conserve the flora and fauna in the biodiversity hotspots.
* Link potential donors, and research experts and educators for the conduct of future research and implementation of programs on biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
