Signature of Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement

This event is organised to commemorate the International Day for Disaster Reduction with the public. An Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement  will be signed between Fundación Guatemala, GROOTS international, Huairou Commission's community practioners platform for resilience, and the national coordinator for disaster risk reduction in Guatemala (CONRED). The aim is to renew the agreement to work in community resilience to and from grassroots women of Guatemala, through a document containing legal agreements and commitments and to renew the interagency cooperation agreement between the Indigenous Women Defendant´s Office and GROOTS/Huairou.

An information meeting will be held previously with the community organizations and the authorities summoned, on the most relevant actions that the platform has developed based on DRR community mappings, advocacy in municipal and local budgets, as well as other actions of national interest.

This event will celebrate the union between grassroots women and the risk management agency, which is a visualization of their work and validation of their knowledge.
