Step up: Mainstream youth in disaster risk reduction for sustainable development

National Emergency Management Agency in partnership with sustainNIGERIA is organizing a one day conference to commemorate the internationall day of disaster risk reduction. The event is intended to create public awareness and advocate for youth meanstreaming in the overall disaster risk reduction plan of government.

Princess Ella Tamufor, an advocate of youth mainstreaming and Executive Director of iYPTDI, will be presenting a paper on the Need to mainstream Youth in the country's Disaster Risk Reduction program.

The event is also a youth advocacy plaform with over 50 youth leaders from different youth organizations around the country and government officials, members of the diplomatic community, students and professors from institution of higher learning.
