About

The Asian Science Diplomats, US-ASEAN Fellows for Science and Technology, in partnership with the Environmental and Climate Change Research Institute, Malaysia Sustainability University Campus Network, and the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia have the honor of extending their invitation to a webinar on Stop the Spiral of Disasters.

Climate change and disaster risks have been deemed to be the environmental perils that have accosted political, economic, social, and human systems. They have created a daunting challenge and dismal innervation to humanity. However, the catastrophic impacts and risks have been staved off by adaptation solutions and disaster risk reduction and management strategies conducted by different institutions, agencies, and centers.

Our two world-renowned experts, the United Nations Sasakawa Laureates, will provide the best practices on how climate change and disaster risks will be addressed from the regional to the local level:

  • Professor Rajib Shaw (Japan)
  • Science Diplomat Glenn Banaguas (Philippines)
