Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches (SLA) seminar: Past, present and future

The seminar assesses how Sustainable Livelihoods Approaches (SLAs) are being applied to current development challenges including disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, food security and social protection, community driven development and making markets work for the poor.

The seminar will also discuss the future of SLAs and how they can be further developed and applied to contribute to international development and the achievement of the MDGs.

The seminar will gather academics, practitioners and policy-makers and will draw together key issues and learning from the previous seminars of the series.
