Course Description

This course provides an introduction to planning for climate change impacts, highlighting what some tribes in the region are doing. The course is intended for tribal environmental and natural resource professionals who expect to be involved in climate change adaptation planning. Since the course will focus on climate change impacts in the region, we especially encourage people from the region to attend.

Topics include

  • Climate change in the region
  • Process of developing climate change adaptation plans
  • Short-term and long-term adaptation strategies
  • Tools and resources for the planning process
  • Partnerships and sources of funding
