About

The Resiliency Initiative is pleased to announce the next virtual Resiliency Academy designed for entry-level, early-career, and transitioning emergency managers in the private sector.

The Resiliency Academy will take place on April 9-10, 2025 from 9 AM - 5 PM CT (US).

The Resiliency Academy is a comprehensive workshop encompassing all-hazards preparedness tailored to the specific needs of the private sector. The Resiliency Initiative’s team of experts will provide the building blocks to create a best-in-class crisis management department. Using TRI’s expertise with organizations such as Walmart, Disney, American Airlines and UCLA, this is truly a workshop built for the private sector by the private sector.

The Resiliency Academy covers the following subject areas:

  • Leadership Buy-In: Understand how to gain C-Suite support for your security and crisis programming.
  • Risk Assessment and BIAs- Learn how to conduct a comprehensive Business Impact Assessment and how to tailor a risk assessment to your organization’s needs.
  • Plan Development - Create emergency, crisis, and continuity plans tailored to your specific requirements.
  • Preparedness and Training Customization - Craft inclusive training materials and strategies for different target audiences, including employees, Crisis Teams, and C-Suite executives.
  • Exercise Design - Design crisis response exercises to simulate real-world scenarios and test your organization's preparedness.
  • Crisis Communications - Learn effective and accessible strategies for internal and external communication during a crisis to maintain trust and transparency across all stakeholders.
  • Leadership in a Crisis - Develop the skills necessary to lead confidently when facing a crisis situation.

After finishing the Academy, attendees are awarded a certificate of completion for 16 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which can be applied towards all four ASIS security certifications, DRII recertifications (CEAP number 6.0) or IAEM's CEM accreditation and recertification (Category E).
