In June 2024, Lloyd's Register Foundation will publish the latest edition of the World Risk Poll Resilience Index. Based on around 145,000 interviews conducted in 143 countries during the second half of 2023, the Index provides a unique data resource for understanding the resilience and vulnerabilities of countries and communities around the world.
By measuring resilience at four key levels - individual, household, community, and society - the World Risk Poll Resilience Index provides the most holistic assessment of resilience available at a global level, while also providing the regional and demographic granularity to help ensure no one is left behind.
In this free webinar, hosted in partnership with the Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction, attendees will hear from the analysts about key trends and insights from the data, revealing how resilience and its determinants have changed - for better or worse - around the world since the last Resilience Index was published in 2022.
The mid-term review of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction revealed that access to disaster risk data remains inadequate for civil society organisations and others working to strengthen the resilience of at-risk communities.
Join us to discuss the findings, and their implications and value for civil society, with an international panel of disaster risk reduction and resilience experts, who will help shed light on how World Risk Poll data can be used to make people safer.
