What works, what doesn't, and why - Resilience insights from community groups
Time
4.00pm-5.30pm (UK time)
About
We look forward to welcoming you to the next National Consortium for Societal Resilience (NCSR+) webinar held jointly with the Resilience Beyond Observed Capabilities Network+ (RBOC+) project.
Countless community groups solve local problems for resilience across the UK. Driven by a desire to protect their environment, homes and businesses from the impacts of flooding and other disruptions, they are at the forefront of societal resilience. They thrive on their own motivations, can be self-reliant, but can grow with minimum encouragement and support.
This webinar will share insights from three such groups and hear about the experiences that have influenced their approaches, lessons they would share, and guidance on how to develop effective community resilience groups that can deliver resilient outcomes.
Speakers
- Kay Lacey, Pang Valley Flood Forum, West Berkshire
- Craig Scott, Brockham Emergency Response Team (BERT), Surrey
- Peter Cross, Flood Lowdham Action Group (FLAG), Nottinghamshire
This webinar will be especially useful to established, fledging or prospective community resilience groups across the UK and internationally.
NCSR+ / RBOC+ webinars are designed for resilience practitioners, resilience partnerships and partner organisations to share insights and lessons on developing societal resilience that others may find useful.
