World environmental and water resources congress 2013: 'Showcasing the future'
With continuing economic stresses, developing technologies and emerging requirements facing them, the water resources practitioner today has a tremendous need to understand and plan for the technologies of tomorrow, to build for the things that are emerging as drivers of water resources practice in the near and long term future. This Congress has been conceived as a peek at the future based on a foundation of research and progress in water resources science and engineering. Held in Cincinnati, and sponsored by the US EPA as well as the EWRI, this event will be a tremendous opportunity for water resources practitioners to meet with their peers, discuss accomplishments and consider what the future might bring.
In sessions, symposia, short courses, and tours, the Congress will explore water and environmental issues at all levels and in all conditions. It will examine innovative technologies and approaches, and launch several new symposia to focus on cloud computing, uncertainty analysis approaches in hydrologic modeling, and desalination and water reuse.
