Based on expert interviews and case studies challenges to overcome the existing barriers will be discussed. Driving questions to be addressed are: What are the major challenges to link DRR and CCA?, What are major differences?, How can climate change adaptation be addressed through DRR strategies and measures? What can DRR deliver to prevent a failure of adaptation strategies? Which areas are most appropriate to link DRR and CCA? What can CCA learn from DRR? The presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion.
