Its aim will be to raise awareness among national and local Governments on building codes implementation, through the sharing of successful experiences of earthquake reconstruction and lessons learned towards vulnerability reduction and sustainability. Further steps to promote the subject area will include sharing up-to-date information with an integral and trans-disciplinary approach and review the current state of implementation of building codes so as to identify gaps and opportunities.
