Small Island Developing States are highly vulnerable to economic shocks triggered by natural hazards. The presentation will discuss the policy challenges the SIDS will have to live up to in order to pursue sustainable development and growth, and explore the opportunities and challenges of ‘compensation for loss and damage’ caused by climate change.
