Agriculture and fisheries after the tsunami

Great progress has been achieved in rebuilding the lives of farmers in Aceh 10 years after the catastrophic Indian Ocean tsunami. However some agriculture and fisheries sector may recover temporarily as the tsunami aid legacy is declining, say Jonatan A Lassa and Goh Tian in their opinion piece for the Jakarta Post.

The authors, both researchers in non-traditional security studies at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, call for both national and local governments to find ways to ensure continuity of growth.
