During a recent conference, the British Virgin Islands received praise for its iLAND project, which has helped prepare the Caribbean for climate change. The project included a boulder revetment that withstood the unprecedented storm surge of Hurricane Irma. Other initiatives, including road drainage improvements and various policies, also derived from the effort.
