The Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre) was inaugurated by ASEAN on 17 November in Indonesia reports The Nation. This action shows that ASEAN leaders wish to enhance cooperation in disaster risk management and mitigation as well as in post-disaster relief, recovery and rehabilitation. "Since the global climate is changing, neighbouring countries such as Laos and Vietnam are also facing similar disasters, so we have to prepare for the future together," Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra told reporters in Bali.
