Floodplain management grants have been allocated to local councils across NSW to assess the risks and reduce the impacts of flooding reports Nambucca Guardian News. "The program provides funds to prepare and implement floodplain risk management plans. These plans enable councils and other agencies to make informed decisions to reduce flood risk to existing and future development," declared Andrew Stoner, Deputy Premier, Nationals Leader and Oxley MP.
