It has been one year since category 5 Tropical Cyclone Marcia tore through central Queensland, leaving a $200 million damage bill to agricultural industries in the region, according to ABC. Recovery from the disaster has been mixed, with some farmers believing they have come back stronger and others still trying to find their feet.

As pineapple grower Nathan Stevens stood amongst his water damaged, sunburnt crop, he was not sure what the future held, but he knew the road to recovery would be long. One year on, while there are still some lingering issues, things are better than expected. "We still have some sort of production loss. Even the stuff we're harvesting at the moment has some degree of damage to the young plants through the cyclone," he said.
