Bangladesh is "highly vulnerable to natural disasters including large-scale floods and flash flooding, tidal surges, typhoons and cyclones, earthquakes, droughts and human sufferings due to cold weather in the winter season," warns Mohammad Tarikul Islam PhD researcher of Jahangirnagar University in his Financial Express article. Mr Tarikul Islam goes on to give an overview of the current disaster management status of the country and recommendations for improvements.
